Sankata Mata, also known as Sankata Devi or Sankata Maata, is a Hindu goddess revered primarily by the followers of Hinduism in the Indian state of Rajasthan. She is considered to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga, who is the divine mother and the embodiment of feminine power in Hindu mythology.
Sankata Temple is the most famous and powerful Temple in Varanasi city. It is situated just above Sankata Ghat in the complex streets that run through Varanasi city. It is the temple dedicated to Sankata Devi established in Geganso of the Lalganj region that was built in the sixteenth Shaktipeeth. संतन को सुख दियो सदा ही,
