Kushmanda Mata or Kushmanda Devi or Kushmanda Maiya is a Hindu goddess who is one of the ten Mahavidyas, meaning Great Wisdom goddesses. She is also known as “Ashtabhuja” meaning eight-armed and is associated with the creation of the universe. It is believed that she created the universe with her smile and resides in the sun, providing energy to all living things. In her depiction, she is often shown as a beautiful woman with eight arms holding various weapons and symbols such as a trident, bow and arrow, rosary, lotus, and skull. She is also considered a destroyer of evil and a provider of health, wealth, and prosperity.
“Kushmanda Mata Ki Aarti” is a Hindu devotional song that honors the goddess Kushmanda, who is one of the ten incarnations of Durga. The Aarti is sung as a form of worship and the lyrics pay tribute to her beauty and the ability to fulfill desires and bestow blessings. Her devotees worship her on the fourth day of Navaratri, a nine-day festival, and perform rituals to seek her blessings and protection.
