Kanakadhara Stotram Will Help You Attract Wealth – Short Story

Once upon a time, Shri Adi Shankaracharya was begging for food according to legend. He went to a Brahmin lady who was herself poor. She didn’t have enough money to meet her own needs, and she couldn’t find something for herself. She looked and looked, but all she found was a single gooseberry. She offered the berry to Adi Shankaracharya despite having nothing for herself. This made him feel sorry for the poor woman who had very little and yet gave it all to him.

He was so moved by the lady’s goodness and compassion that he wrote and sang many hymns, including the Kanakadhara Stotram, which praises the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi. She came to him to ask if he remembered her because he was so dedicated and honest. Adi Shankaracharya pleaded with Lakshmi to bestow some riches on the woman who had given him the gooseberry.

Goddess Lakshmi refuted the argument, claiming that the woman had done nothing to support the poor in her previous life. Adi Shankaracharya pleaded with her repeatedly, and she was moved by his devotion and bestowed gold gooseberries on the needy.

As a result, we can easily infer from the story that kindness and love are emotions that can genuinely assist an individual in escaping worldly pleasures.
